Jeppesen Internet Flight Planner (JIFP)

Product Sunset Plan Beginning January, 2015

Dear Valued Flight Planning Customer,

Over the past decade the tools used for flight planning in general aviation have rapidly evolved. The transformation has prompted us to re-evaluate the various flight planning offerings we provide. As a result, we have made the decision to sunset our Jeppesen Internet Flight Planning (JIFP) offering in order to refocus our support and investment resources to better serve the market. 

Effective January 2015, we will no longer renew JIFP subscriptions once they expire. However, we will maintain and support unexpired customer subscriptions through December 31, 2015.

As an alternative, all JIFP customers are welcome to take advantage of the following Jeppesen flight planning solution options:

1. If you are an AOPA – USA member, you have access to flight planning services via the AOPA web site as part of your annual membership. Starting in 2015, the web-based flight planning application will be powered by Jeppesen. The solution will not only encompass everything found in JIFP, but there is a lot more capability being added and in-work.
   
   
2. Jeppesen will continue to offer our PC-based FliteStar VFR and IFR flight planning solution. To learn more about FliteStar, please visit our online solution page here, or you may purchase FliteStar via our JeppDirect online store.
