Alex Zakroff leads the Marine business unit and Global Navigation Services (GNS) organizations for Jeppesen, an information services company and wholly-owned Boeing subsidiary whose core products include the provision of navigation information to aviation and maritime customers worldwide.
In leading GNS, Zakroff holds overall responsibility for operational execution supporting Jeppesen’s core navigation products, as well as for leadership and staff development, process improvement and executive communication. He also leads Jeppesen’s Marine business unit – extending Jeppesen’s information management competencies into this new market.
Zakroff’s areas of professional interest include organizational strategy, leadership development, systems thinking and leading transformational change. He has played a key role in developing Jeppesen's Quality Management System and led the introduction of LEAN manufacturing concepts within the company. He joined Jeppesen in 1994 and, before being appointed to his current position in 2012, held a variety of leadership positions including product distribution, financial planning and analysis, production planning and process engineering.
Zakroff holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from Colorado State University in Pueblo and is a Stanford Sloan Fellow, earning his Master of Science in Management from the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University. Zakroff is also a private pilot and enjoys skiing, ice hockey, music, golf and spending time with his family.
