Clear the web browser’s cache

  1. In Internet Explorer, select Tools > Delete Browsing History. Make sure Temporary Internet Files is checked, then click Delete.
  2. In Mozilla FireFox, select Tools > Clear Recent History. Make sure the time range is set to Everything and that Cache is checked, then click Clear Now.
  3. Restart the browser and try loading the learning module again.

 

Make sure you are running the latest version of Java

To verify which version you have, go to java.com and click Do I have Java, then Verify Java Version.

 

Check Java Preferences

  1. Go to Control Panel and click on Java.
  2. Click the Advanced tab at the top.
  3. Open the Security menu and then open the General menu.
  4. Make sure that Allow user to grant permissions to content from an untrusted authority is checked.
  5. Reopen your web browser and try loading the learning module again.

 

Clear the Java cache

  1. Go to Control Panel and click on Java.
  2. On the General tab, click Settings.
  3. Click Delete Files. Check both Application and Applets and Trace and Log Files, then click OK.
  4. Reopen your web browser and try loading the learning module again.

  1. In Safari, select Safari > Empty Cache.
  2. In Mozilla FireFox, select Tools > Clear Recent History. Make sure the time range is set to Everything and that Cache is checked, then click Clear Now.
  3. Restart the browser and try loading the learning module again.

To see if there are any Java updates available for your Mac, click the Apple logo and Software Update.

  2. On the General tab, ensure that Enable applet plug-in and Web Start applications is checked if this option appears.

  4. Reopen your web browser and try loading the learning module again.

  1. Close out of the web browser and go to Applications > Utilities > Java Preferences.
  2. Click the Network tab, then click Delete Files.

Configure Safari to run in the Internet Explorer compatibility mode

  1. Open Safari, click on the Safari drop down menu and select Preferences.
  2. Select the Advanced tab on the right.
  3. Check the 'Show Develop menu in menu bar' box at the bottom. You must close the Advanced window for the next steps.
  4. Re-open Safari and a new option in the Safari drop-down menu will appear, called Develop.
    Notice you will see a list of different browsers from which you can select. Select Internet Explorer 9.0 or Internet Explorer 8.0. This will reset the browser and make it run under an IE configuration or other browser versions depending on the options you select.

Each learning unit is designed and tested to ensure that the average person takes at least 50 minutes to complete. The construction of the course requires that each page of the text must be viewed. The CFI will satisfy lesson objectives for this course by passing each written test with a score of at least 70 percent.

After you have completed the course and sent your paperwork to the AOPA CFI Administration, they will issue a temporary CFI certificate until the FAA can issue a permanent certificate. Please contact the AOPA CFI Administration for any questions in regards to submitting your paperwork and receiving the certificate.
