Technical support - Jeppesen Mobile TC for Android

For Jeppesen customers with a JeppView or NavSuite subscription, you can now access your instrument charts and airport diagrams directly on an Android tablet.

Jeppesen Mobile TC requires Android’s Honeycomb (3.X), Ice Cream Sandwich (4.0), or Jelly Bean (4.X) operating systems and is designed for Samsung Galaxy tablets (7", 8.9" and 10.1").

The following devices and models were used to test the application:

THE ANDROID OPERATING SYSTEM IS DESIGNED TO RUN ON MANY TYPES OF MOBILE DEVICES THAT CONTAIN VARIATIONS INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO HARDWARE, SYSTEM CONFIGURATION, SOFTWARE, AND FEATURES. THIS APPLICATION MAY NOT BE COMPATIBLE WITH ALL ANDROID MOBILE DEVICES WHICH COULD RESULT IN INCORRECT RENDERING OF JEPPESEN CHARTING DATA.

This message will appear if your electronic charting subscription is already in use on the number of devices your purchased license allows. In order to install and use Mobile TC on another device, you can deactivate and uninstall the electronic charting application on one of the other devices or purchase an additional license.

If a "No Available Licenses" message appears when checking for updates, your subscription may need to be renewed, or the app may be activated with the incorrect serial number. To reactivate the app and enter the serial number again, tap the Settings icon at the top-right, then tap About. Tap Deactivate to remove all data and release the site key. When this is complete, the Activation window will appear. Enter your name and the serial number to complete the activation process.

If the serial number is correct, please contact Sales Support to verify the status of your subscription. You will find the contact information for Sales Support on the left side of the Contact Us Form.

If a "Serial Number Not Registered" message appears when checking for updates, the site key for Mobile TC has been deactivated. In this case, please contact Technical Support to verify the registration of the serial number and reactivate the site key if necessary. The contact information for Technical Support can be found on the left side of this page.

If you are not able to find Jeppesen Mobile TC on the Google Play store when accessing the store from your Android tablet, your device may not be supported.

At this time, no. You will need to have a valid JeppView, NavSuite, or E-Link subscription and serial number to use the application. If you are interested in making the switch from paper to electronic, please visit www.flyelectronic.net for additional information.

We request you work directly with your management or the Jeppesen Administrator at your company. They will then work with their Jeppesen Account Manager to coordinate this deployment for your company.

If you have JeppView installed on a PC, you can find your serial number from within JeppView by selecting Help > Activation Information. You can also find it on the back of your JeppView software box, or by signing into MyJeppesen.com and clicking Manage Installs.

To see which chart cycle is installed, tap the Settings icon at the top-right followed by the Update button. If you are online, Mobile TC checks for updates and informs you if the charts are current or if new data is available. Tap the Update button to download new data.

You will not be able to see the coverage areas that are currently installed from within Jeppesen Mobile TC. However, if you've installed JeppView on a PC, you can find the coverage areas in JeppView by selecting Help > Coverage Areas, or Help > About. Assuming that both JeppView and Jeppesen Mobile TC have the same serial number and are updated to the current chart cycle, the coverage areas will be the same on both.

While connected to the Internet, tap the Settings icon at the top-right, followed by the Update button. Mobile TC checks for updates and informs you that new data is available. Tap Update Charts to begin the download.

To deactivate the site key, tap the Settings button at the top-right, then About. Tap Deactivate to remove all data and release the site key.

NOTE: Uninstalling the Mobile TC application does not change activation status or affect chart coverage area.

No, an Internet connection is only required to download the chart updates that occur every two weeks.

At this time, charts cannot be printed. However, this feature may be added in the future.

To add an airport to the Favorites list, tap the star next to the identifier in the airport list. Once the star turns yellow in color, this airport is now a part of your favorite airports. To remove an airport from the Favorites list, tap the yellow star next to the identifier. To view only selected Favorites, tap the Favorites button near the bottom of the airport list window.

IFR charts are indicated by a blue icon next to the chart number. European VFR charts are indicated by a green icon.

No, only one serial number can be used in the application. However, you may be able to combine the coverage areas under one of the subscriptions. Please contact Sales Support to see if this can be done for your subscriptions. You will find the contact information for Sales Support on the left side of the Contact Us Form.

The amount of storage space required depends on the coverage areas in your subscription. For the worldwide coverage, approximately 700 MB is required.
