Overview

Jeppesen Marine is proud to be a member and supporter of many important marine and marketing organizations:

Marine Marketers of America (MMA)

Marine Marketers of America represents marine marketers and offers several exciting initiatives and membership benefits:

  • A voice for marine marketers to the industry
  • Professional development and educational opportunities
  • National Speakers Bureau (members can book … or members can speak! The MMA will promote.)
  • A dedicated website, including a marine marketers members list, links and job bank
  • Networking events – the opportunity to meet other marine marketers
  • A National Awards Program recognizing outstanding achievement in marine advertising and public relations/promotions

  National Marine Electronics Association (NMEA)

NMEA was founded in 1957 by a group of electronic dealers who got together at the New York Boat Show to discuss how to strengthen relationships with electronic manufacturers. Little did these dealers realize the impact such an association would have on the marine industry.

NMEA, the association continues to provide a forum for its members through frequent communications from the national office, regional meetings and its annual conference.

As the association continues to improve services to its members, it will focus on educating the public in safe and proper use of marine electronics and strengthening the association's presence in the marine electronics industry.

  National Marine Manufacturer's Association (NMMA)

NMMA members, more than 1,400 companies, produce every conceivable product used by recreational boaters. An estimated 80 percent of marine products used in North America are produced by NMMA members. Formed in 1979 in a merger between the Boating Industry Association of Chicago (BIA) and the National Association of Engine & Boat Manufacturers of New York (NAEBM), roots of the non-profit Association can be traced to 1904 when NAEBM was founded.

The NMMA Mission

NMMA is dedicated to creating, promoting and protecting an environment where members can achieve financial success through excellence in manufacturing, in selling, and in servicing their customers.

To fulfill this mission, NMMA will devote its resources to:

  • Public policy advocacy
  • Marketing
  • Quality Assurance
  • Resources & Data

  Northwest Marine Trade Association (NMTA)

The NMTA is the country's oldest regional marine association. Founded in 1947 to fight a proposed special tax on boaters, the Association quickly expanded its vision of a unified industry by pitching a tent on the shores of Lake Union and holding its first boat show. Today, with a membership exceeding 850, participation of individual companies like yours makes business better for all. There's strength in numbers so climb aboard to help yourself and your industry.

NMTA Mission Statement:
