The current version of the print driver is 1.0.3.3. The version number can be found on the header of the Jeppesen Format Preview dialog box. Currently, the Jeppesen Format Print Driver is only supported with the Jeppesen Text Viewer in the business and aviation product line.

Transitioning to the Jeppesen Text Viewer

If you choose to convert to the JTV coverage, simply call one of our customer service representatives.  You can convert at any time.  Your current paper-only service will be replaced with an equivalent service that takes full advantage of all the benefits included in the JTV. 

Once you have been set up with the new service including the Text Viewer, there will no longer be a need to maintain your paper text pages. The Text Viewer will now allow you to update, view, search and print all the same information electronically.

1. Remove text section tabs for future use.
2. Keep the Title page, Record of Revision and Airway Manual Calendar (optional).
3. Move Enroute Charts and Area Charts and place them on top of the terminal charts.  These will be revised with your terminal charts.
4. Discard your paper text pages as per the listing of sections in the overview.

The terminal and enroute chart content of the new service will remain exactly the same as your current paper-only service.  Due to the identical content, no new initial set of charts will need to be issued.  Revisions will continue to be mailed containing updated terminal and enroute charts as in the past.  The revision number on your updates will also continue to follow the same sequence for ease of maintaining your Record of Revision sheet.  The only difference will be the reduction of text pages to revise. 

Continuing with paper

If you decide to continue with your current paper service, simply pay your renewal notice when it arrives and your content and update service will remain unchanged.  However, you will notice a slight price increase on your renewal due to the increasing costs of producing and shipping paper. 

Because you are a valued Airway Manual customer, you will still have access to the JTV free of charge for as long as you’d like.  You can use the JTV concurrently with your current paper-only service.  We are confident that once you become familiar with the JTV and realize all the benefits, you won’t hesitate to call us and save yourself valuable time and effort. 

Keeping Your Text pages Up to Date with the Jeppesen Text Viewer
The Jeppesen Text Viewer subscription service comes standard with state-of-the-art online update capability over the Internet to do your revisions utilizing a high speed Internet or dial-up connection (high-speed internet is recommended).

Obtaining a Login

In order to use the Jeppesen Text Viewer you will need a Jeppesen user name and password. If you are a business customer, please contact your Jeppesen Account Representative to assist in creating your login information. For general aviation customers that do not have a login, you will need the following information:

Customer Number. You can find your Jeppesen Customer Number in one of these places:

• On the second line of any revision envelope addressed to you.
• In the upper-right corner of any Jeppesen invoice.
• Calling a Jeppesen Customer Service representative at one of the numbers above:

City, State/Province, and Zip/Postal Code (as stated on the primary billing record).

When you have the information available, do the following to establish your Jeppesen login:

1. Go to http://www.jeppesen.com.
2. Click the Register link in the upper right side of the window.
3. Click Yes, and then enter your customer number.
4. Enter your account information, and follow the directions.

 

The following system requirements were set up to give you the most out of the Text Viewer application. Although the program might run on systems that do not meet these requirements, Jeppesen cannot guarantee that the program will run properly unless the system meets these requirements.

Multi-User Awareness Information

The JTV Service allows customers with larger pilot and aircraft complements to utilize its benefits.  Users can download updates, view, search, and print information routinely used in the organization.  If you have a multi-user requirement, please contact your Jeppesen customer service agent for further information.

 

Printing from the Text Viewer

Important note about printing from the Jeppesen Text Viewer

Chart printouts look best when printed in color and at high resolutions (minimum 300 dpi). Many Jeppesen  pages include complex or dense graphical information that challenges some printers. Most printing problems are avoided by using current print drivers and following any other printer manufacturer requirements and recommendations for complex graphics.

Printing can be done on standard paper sizes or as Jeppesen’s standard chart size.  In order to print Jeppesen chart size pages, you must install the Jeppesen Format Printer Driver.

When installing the Text Viewer, a series of prompts will ask you if you would like to install the Jeppesen Format Print Driver as well.  If you did not install the print driver during installation, a download is available on the Tutorial and Installation tab.
