Service Overview
Jeppesen PRIMAR ECDIS Service, effectively combines two services into a single offering that ensures mariners easy access to the most authoritative charts available, from the world's leading provider of marine electronic charts.
Jeppesen PRIMAR ECDIS Service will ensure that mariners are always navigating by an approved Electronic Navigation Chart (ENC) from PRIMAR or other hydrographic offices, when these are available.
When an ENC is not available, the service will notify the navigator (during route planning or navigation) and run from the high-quality private vector data produced and distributed by Jeppesen Marine. Previously, these two sources of data were sold and distributed separately.
