Jeppesen's goal of providing Mariners around the globe with the necessary tools for safe navigation has led to the development of the Jeppesen Piracy Update service.

Piracy Information is now available as an overlay on top of your digital Jeppesen charts in OceanView. The Jeppesen OceanView navigation planning tool visualizes information to help navigators and operators identify, understand and manage risks posed by maritime crime.
Given the weather limitations pirates operates under, the piracy overlay can be combined with other Jeppesen services in OceanView, such as weather and wave information and a route planning tool. This provides our clients with a precise overview of pirate threat areas and a tool to adjust you route in order to reduce risk and cut costs.
