Overview
This online e-learning program will teach the skills required to master the operation of the G1000. The scenario-based, guided simulation system provides you comprehensive knowledge of all functions for IFR use including WAAS for the Garmin 1000.
Features
The Jeppesen Garmin G1000 IFR Procedures Online training course is a new, advanced, and extensive web-based training program developed with input from Garmin that teaches the skills required to master the operation and confidently fly the G1000 in IFR conditions. Learn how to pull up and fly instrument procedures, load and activate approaches including RNAV and ILS approaches, new WAAS-enabled approaches such as LNAV, LNAV/VNAV, and LPV approaches, departures and arrivals, as well as performing course reversals, holding patterns, and executing missed approaches. The scenario-based, guided simulation system provides complete and comprehensive training allowing the pilot to become proficient in all advanced functions and tasks required for IFR flight and greatly facilitate the transition to flying Technically Advanced Aircraft and the Garmin glass cockpit.The training includes a multi-mode methodology that includes a "Demo Mode" demonstrating the selected topic using narration, text, and animated graphics. A "Training Mode" guides you through the required steps to accomplish the task, and a "Solo Mode" enables the assessment of the user's performance as well as a comprehensive course exam. Over 40 topics taught in six categories emulate the phases of flight including Using NEXRAD in the Terminal Environment, WAAS Benefits, WAAS Approaches Overview, and Common Mistakes.
