Offers a higher level of understanding on complex instrument procedures. Contains topics that complement and build on skills learned from the basic training series as well as creating confidence and expanding comprehension of sophisticated IFR operations.

Features

The Jeppesen Garmin GNS 530/430 Advanced Training program contains over 25 topics that complement and build on skills learned from the VFR & Core IFR Procedures Training. This training will help to ensure confidence, show valuable shortcuts and include a virtual flight. After first going through the briefing section, you'll be demonstrated eleven different advanced Flight Scenarios, which you'll then fly, initially with on-screen guidance, during the topic's "Training" mode. Then you'll fly the scenarios in the "Solo" mode, to reinforce what you learned in the Demo mode and practiced in the Training mode.

Now you'll be cleared for the CheckFlite™, a challenging virtual flight. Testing your GNS 530/430 operational knowledge thoroughly, the CheckFlite begins with a tricky IFR clearance and departure then continues with multiple amendments, re-routes, an unpublished hold and finally concludes with modified approach & missed procedures.

While you're dealing with weather and ATC imposed issues, the CheckFlite will also assess your procedural logic, offering multiple-choice decisions for you to make. Successful completion of the CheckFlite will not only give you strong confidence in your abilities but will generate a certificate of completion, for FAA Wings credit and more.

The Advanced IFR Procedures training for the 530/430 includes our Quick Tips and Common Mistakes sections, which explain timesaving techniques and instructional content that reviews common pilot operational errors with the GNS 530 & 430.
