Receive positive guidance for aircraft to support approach operations to the lowest Decision Height (DH) of any instrument approach procedure (IAP) with our Instrument Landing System (ILS).

  • ILS approaches combine the latest computer design technology and a full review of required obstacle clearances to produce IAPs to basic ILS Category I (CAT I) minimums Decision Height (DH) 200 Above Ground Level (AGL) and beyond
  • Supports the minimums associated with ILS CAT II and III
  • ILS approaches after study and design will typically have lower minimums and require special certification for operators, pilots, aircraft and airborne/ground equipment

Components:

  • Our ILS approach includes localizer, glide slope, outer marker, middle marker and approach lights.

Full Capability - Airspace feasibility study and IAP designs incorporate three essential components:

  • Aeronautical information of the locations and heights of both runway thresholds and landing zone elevation (approximately 950 feet beyond the threshold)
  • Locations and elevations of all electronic, ground based components
  • Full understanding of all terrain and obstacles in accordance to International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Annex 14 or FAA Federal Aviation Regulation (FAR) Part 77 obstacle surfaces

Airspace Study and Design - Other ILS services we provide for airspace study and design:

  • Converging ILS approaches (runways with an angle between 15-100 degrees)
  • Dependent parallel approaches (runway separated by 2,500 feet minimum)
  • Independent parallel approaches (runways separated 4,300-9,000 feet)
  • Simultaneous close parallel approaches (runways separated 3,400-4,300 feet)

Gain flexibility and precision by replacing your ground-based navigational system with Area Navigation (RNAV). Support aircraft operations on any desired course within the coverage of your station referenced navigation signals (or within the limits of your self-containing system capacity) by using our RNAV method of navigation.

Precise Navigation:

  • Increase accuracy with Flight Management System (FMS) and Global Positioning System (GPS) navigation
  • These systems navigate with reference to geographic positions called "waypoints" (WP) specified in latitude/longitude

RNAV (GPS) Solution:

To assist with noise issues, airports propose arrival noise abatement flight tracks. We design and publish these procedures part of an Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) flight plan to be used during Visual Flight Rules/Visual Meteorological conditions .
