Jeppesen’s new Plan2Nav application for popular iPad and iPhone devices is the first and only mobile application designed for C-MAP by Jeppesen charts. With its advanced mobile navigation capabilities and unique integration with onboard plotters, Plan2Nav meets the needs of today’s tech-savvy travelers and is a fun and useful tool for a wide range of boating applications.
Boaters everywhere can download the Plan2Nav application at no charge through the iTunes App Store and, with the included worldwide background chart, begin using it immediately on their iPad and iPhone devices. To unlock the full potential of this unique planning tool, boaters can purchase accurate, up-to-date Jeppesen charts with C-MAP 4D MAX content and features. Using the “Buy Chart” function in the app, boaters can quickly download expansive, full-featured chart coverage to optimize their navigation experience. Once downloaded, charts stay recorded on the device and are accessible even when no wireless connection is available.
Depending on coverage, charts for Plan2Nav range from 15.99 to 69.99 Euro (VAT included) and unlock many powerful features, including:

Plan2Nav operates in north up or course up orientation for fully rotating visualization, while its unique compass rose display provides an at-a-glance graphic presentation of your current heading. Speed Over Ground, Course Over Ground, Estimated Time of Arrival and Time To Go data help you stay on top of every voyage, whether you’re navigating or just enjoying the ride. The ability to download and overlay both five-day weather forecasts and satellite images (using Google Maps) provides an enhanced charting experience and increases navigator confidence.
Plan2Nav also serves as an advanced, mobile voyage-planning tool. Boaters can create waypoints and routes for an upcoming cruise or offshore fishing trip, then save the track of their voyage for later export to their PC where they can relive the trip, share fishing hotspots with friends, and more.
