Navigation expert Jeppesen has announced important enhancements in its Fall 2010 update of C-MAP MAX and NT+ electronic charts for North American boaters. Hundreds of exclusive C-Marina Port Plan charts for 13 states and Ontario, Canada, as well as important enhancements to Jeppesen’s coverage in the Caribbean and Bahamas are now available. The new/updated data is also included in Jeppesen’s C-MAP 4D cartography.

With C-Marina Port Plan charts, users of C-MAP MAX and NT+ compatible chart plotters enjoy the highest level of detail and information, making it easy to navigate right to a particular slip, locate port offices or find important facilities and services. These charts are based on proprietary data collected by Jeppesen and include dock numbers/letters, individual slip numbers, fuel/pumpout stations, harbormaster offices and other important information. The majority of these C-Marina Port Plan charts have updated information on shore-side services such as fuel piers, pump outs, boat hoists, laundry/shower facilities, launch ramps and more, making these a “must have” for boaters. The ability to view these detailed marina charts and information directly on the chartplotter is convenient for vacationing boaters, cruising sailors, passagemakers — anybody sailing into an unfamiliar harbor. These detailed charts are also a great situational awareness tool for boaters coming into any harbor in less than ideal conditions such as poor visibility, rough weather or strong currents.

  • Jeppesen’s Fall 2010 cartography update includes 365 updated or new C-Marina Port Plan and Approach Charts in North America, providing boaters with the most accurate and up-to-date data for navigating popular marinas.
  • These enhancements include coastal marinas like the Key Biscayne Yacht Club in Florida or Sandy Hook Bay Marina in New Jersey, along with major inland marinas such as the Lakeshore Yacht Club in Ontario or Harbor Center Marina, Wisconsin.
  • C-Marina Port Plan charts have been updated or added for the coastal states of Florida, Georgia, Massachusetts, South Carolina, North Carolina, Maine, Rhode Island, Vermont, New York and New Jersey.
  • New inland marina charts have also been added for Wisconsin, Illinois, Kentucky and Ontario, Canada.

The updated and new C-Marina Port Plan charts can be found in five new MAX C-card titles: NA-M033.10, NA-M022.10, NA-M027.10, NA-M023.10, and NA-M026.10. In addition to Jeppesen’s advanced C-Marina coverage, the Fall 2010 update also includes substantial enhancements to the important Bahamas and Caribbean cruising waters. Jeppesen has updated its coverage of the Caribbean Islands with the latest nautical charts from Imray, a leading UK-based cartographic data source, to provide the highest level of accuracy and detail. The Fall 2010 release of C-MAP charts for the region have also been updated with the latest data from the Explorer Chartbook/Exumas and Ragged Islands -6th Edition September 2010. These enhancements are automatically provided to boaters who purchase the Fall 2010 update of Jeppesen’s MAX and NT+ cartography, as well as boaters who purchase C-MAP 4D charts. The easiest and most cost effective way for boaters to stay up-to-date is to join Club Jeppesen. Members are eligible to receive one automatic chart update per year, along with a host of additional savings, benefits and programs, for low annual dues that are less than the cost of one update.
