Jeppesen Autumn 2010 Release Includes New Local Max Charts, Expanded Coverage for German Inland Waterways, New Ports Charts and More

Navigation expert Jeppesen made significant enhancements to its electronic charts for Europe and the Mediterranean region, and is making these charts available to boaters with the autumn 2010 release of its world-leading C-MAP by Jeppesen cartography. Key changes in the latest release include the introduction of new Local MAX and NT+ coverage areas for the coasts of Portugal. In addition, Jeppesen will offer new Fishing Chart coverage for the same region. New charts have also been introduced for the Ligurian and Tyrrhenian Sea as well as the Adriatic Sea, providing safe and efficient navigation for boaters who frequent this popular boating region.
One of the key areas of expansion and enhancement has taken place in German inland waters. Jeppesen’s autumn 2010 Release includes the completion of Delius Klasing Book 3and Book 4 chart coverage for important navigable waterways including the Elbe and Rhein Rivers, Rhein Herne Kanal, Dortmund-Ems Kanal, Mitteland Kanal, Elbe-Seiten Kanal, Elbe-Lubeck Kanal, Elbe-Havel Kanal and Oder-Spree Kanal. With these enhancements, Jeppesen now offers its most complete inland waterway coverage around Berlin and Potsdam.
Another key area is the expansion of Jeppesen’s MegaWide coverage for the North and Baltic Seas to include the northeastern coast of England. With coverage from the tip of northern Norway and approximately 2/3 of the east coast of England, only Jeppesen covers this area on a single chart cartridge.
Jeppesen’s autumn 2010 Release also features many new digitized Ports charts, providing cruisers, sailors and saltwater fishermen with detailed, information-filled charts for key marinas throughout the region.
