An agreement announced today between Jeppesen Marine’s Club Jeppesen and Marinalife, America’s Cruising Concierge, will enhance benefits to members of both organizations coast to coast.
“When you look at the benefits Club Jeppesen and Marinalife offer to their members, it becomes very clear how the two compliment each other perfectly,” said Richard Ellis, Jeppesen Marine’s Club director. “We are both dedicated to providing boaters with services, products and information that make their time on the water easier, safer and more enjoyable. Now we’ve made it easier and more cost effective for boaters to enjoy the combined benefits of both,” Ellis added.
Club Jeppesen gives owners of C-Map electronic charts a wide range of benefits, including a free annual update to the C-Map MAX or NT+ chart title of their choice. This updated chart is sent automatically and ensures that sailors, power cruisers or sport fishermen always have the most accurate, up-to-date chart possible. This alone is worth far more than the $89 annual dues, but membership also entitles boaters to discounts on C-Map products and services, the ability to exchange charts for new or expanded coverage areas, the ability to rent charts from the C-Map library for those one-time cruises, a free subscription to a leading boating magazine, discounts on marine products and services, and more.
For more than seven years, Marinalife has provided members with centralized online marine reservation services and a complete suite of travel services including marina reservations, detailed marina information, marina reviews, customized cruise planning, a member’s publication, discounts on dockage, fuel and more. Under this new agreement, Jeppesen Marine will offer Club Jeppesen membership to Marinalife members at an ongoing reduced rate of $69 (vs. $89), including the valuable automatic chart update. Those C-Map owners and Marinalife members who elect not to sign up for the full Club Jeppesen/update subscription option will still be entitled to other Club Jeppesen benefits and discounts, including deep discounts on new electronic chart purchases and accessories like the PC Planner home voyage planning tool.
In return, Club Jeppesen members will receive significant discounts on all Marinalife membership levels: Captain’s Club, Premiere Cruiser, Platinum Cruiser, Sportfish Club and Diamond Cruiser. There will also be reciprocal links between the C-Map website and a special section of the Marinalife website to access reservation and travel services, as well as a special Marinalife/Club Jeppesen membership card.
