Jeppesen Marine announced today it signed a distributorship agreement with four companies to begin marketing and selling their Nobeltec branded marine navigation software solutions and data in the Middle East and Europe. These new distributorships include: Atlas Technologies, Dubai, U.A.E.; Navigreen Oy Ltd., Helsinki, Finland; Navtronics, Alimos, Greece; and Offshore Sailing, Deinze, Belgium. Jeppesen Marine, who in 2007 acquired C-Map – the world’s largest provider of marine digital maps, continues to ramp up its global sales efforts.
“We chose these four companies to distribute Nobeltec navigation products because they are all well-established with track records for excellence in the distribution of marine electronics,” said Shepard Tucker, Jeppesen Marine senior manager, Marketing and Sales, “We’re very much looking forwarding to working with our new colleagues in the power boat and sailing markets.”
The four new distributorships bring a wealth of marine electronics experience and
specialization in customer designs for PC integrated systems:• Atlas Telecom: the parent company of Atlas Technologies is a large telecommunications company headquartered in Abu Dhabi, U.A.E. It has grown from a small, dedicated team of four in Abu Dhabi, to around 400 across the region.
- Navigreen Oy Ltd.: established in 2007, Navigreen is a distributor of a variety of marine navigation software and hardware products. They offer full solutions for recreational boats as well as light commercial vessels.
- Navtronics: based in Alimos, Greece, Navtronics is a marine electronics company specializing in communication (VHF, SSB, NAVTEX, EPIRBS, SARTS, GMDSS), navigation (autopilots, radars, GPS/Plotters, Echo sounders), and custom designs for PC integrated systems (fleet tracking, monitoring systems, and navigation software).
- Offshore Sailing: located in Deinze, Belgium, is well known for providing high quality navigation courses in Flanders. With its "new generation" coursework (RADAR, GMDSS-SRC and Electronic Navigation) Offshore Sailing has served French-speaking sailors for sometime now. Offshore Sailing is proud of its courses and syllabus. Trainees learn how to handle the apparatuses of GMDSS, RADAR and much more.
